Soundbuilt Agent of the Month: Maia Liloc Rice
Interviewer: What is your position?
Maia Liloc Rice: I am an agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Service – South Sound Properties. I currently sit site at Soundbuilt’s Trinity Ridge community in Gig Harbor.
I: How long have you been in real estate?
MLR: I’ve been in real estate for 1.5 years. I spent 23 years in apparel product development before this, but when my daughter started high school, I wanted to be in a job with a little more flexibility.
I: Do you mostly work in new construction?
MLR: Yes, I mainly work with buyers who are looking for new construction homes. I love keeping up with the architectural and design trends of the market, and you can’t beat the feeling of a buyer walking into a brand new house full of excitement!
I: Tell us a little more about Trinity Ridge.
MLR: The Estates at Trinity Ridge is a gated Soundbuilt Signature Homes community in Gig Harbor. We have a variety of floor plans, to cover many different buyers’ needs. I have buyers who want a three story home, and I have buyers who want a one story home. We have them both! My personal favorite main floorplan is the Diana. It’s a 3 story plan with the garage on the bottom floor as well as living space that includes a ¾ bath. I call it the entertainment plan since it has an open layout, tall ceilings and a ton of windows which makes the home really bright inside. Additionally, Trinity Ridge is a well located community. It’s less than 10 minutes from most amenities as well as HWY 16, close to the Canterwood Golf Course, less than 10 minutes from Kopachuck State Park, and within 5 minutes of the Harbor.
I: What are some fun things you like to do when you’re not working?
MLR: My family owns a golf course in Coos Bay, Oregon and I get to utilize my product development skills and run the retail center in the pro shop for the course. I also run the Bellarmine School store in addition to being to president of the parent org at Bellarmine. I am a Bellarmine alum, so it’s a fun way to support the school and spend time with my daughter who currently attends Bellarmine. I also love to read books. One of the best books I read recently was “Boys in the Boat.” It was fun reading about what was going on in Seattle back in the 1930’s! Additionally, I was a coxswain for the Western Washington University Rowing Team in college, so I felt a connection to the Boys in the Boat rowing references. We rowed against UW and made it to nationals!
